This is a all inclusive hands on workshop instructed by award winning recording and mix engineer Josh Millner, who's also the owner of Skymount Studios. He's worked with major labels such as Universal Records, Epic Records and large networks such as Netflix and Disney. This will be a two day workshop on March 15th - March 16th.

Day 1 will cover the complete recording process, featuring the recording of an original R&B song by R&B Singer Kamerin Oliver. You will learn how to properly mic a vocal using a industry go to and sought after vocal chain, during this process, you'll learn how to properly adjust and use a mic preamp, eq, and compressor to achieve that upfront and present vocal. You'll also learn how to properly set up and track a song in Pro Tools. Day 2 will be completely focused on Mixing. You will learn how to professionally mix a song from start to finish. You will learn how to edit and tune vocals, how to get proper music & vocal balances, how to eq, use compression and apply popular vocal effects used in modern day music today to achieve that final polished mix. There will also be a focus on how to mix a song with emotion to bring the best out of the song.
